The goal of this project was to design two distinct covers for two fictional books authored by the renowned writer Elizabeth Gilbert. The instructions provided by the professor emphasized the importance of practicing the full spectrum of the design process. This included developing a clear message and concept, and skillfully implementing these ideas using the elements of visual structure.
I was guided through the essential stages of the design workflow, which involved creating thumbnails, sketches, and mock-ups before arriving at the final designs. An integral part of the project was to gain inspiration from Elizabeth Gilbert’s TED talk, "Your Creative Genius." By engaging with Gilbert's insights on creativity, I was expected to channel my own creative processes into my book jacket designs.
Ultimately, this project aimed to blend creative theory with practical application, allowing me to produce visually compelling and conceptually rich book covers.
